Not every player wants elite travel. Not every team needs to be strangers. However, all squad lock teams should have more than a basic understanding of the game and be at an intermediate -advanced skill level.
“Squad Lock” lets friends groups compete together, improve together and have fun doing it.
The “build your own team” concept allows a group of players to form their own team while still receiving professional coaching, structured practices, and competitive match play,–without the travel demands
of elite club volleyball.(and you still get the cool gear)
How It Works
Groups of 8-10 players can form their own team
-Must adhere to IHSAA guidelines (3 player rule, coach/player rule)
-Must be in the appropriate skill level(2-3 years of club experience min.)
-Squad Lock team will tryout as a team during regularly scheduled tryouts.
Designed for players who want to:
- Play with trusted friends/athletes
- Compete at intermediate/high level
- Improve skills with structured practices
- Have fun while developing without overwhelming pressure
- Compete in regional travel(4hrs max)
- Attending AAU Nationals in Orlando is optional
*Firebolt reserves the right to approve or reject any Coach/team in this category.
Player development comes fist. Even though the environment is more flexible, the coaching is not. The program is designed for structured practices, skill progression, position-specific work, and tournament competition at appropriate level
SQUAD LOCK FEES: $2,026
Player pack/uniforms, coaches fees, hotel stays are additional expense.
